Missourians for Safe Energy is a grassroots, non-profit group working for a safe, sustainable energy future. MSE is deeply concerned about climate change, about the finite nature of our current energy sources, and about the other environmental and security implications of continuing to rely on fossil fuels and nuclear power.

MSE engages in public education and advocacy to promote a carbon-free, nuclear-free future based upon energy efficiency and the use of clean renewable energy sources.

MSE is based in Columbia, Missouri, and is a project of Mid-Missouri Peaceworks. We carry on the tradition of the original Missourians for Safe Energy group founded in 1976. We work closely with Peaceworks’ Center for Sustainable Living in putting on the annual Sustainable Living Fair and also collaborate with the Columbia Earth Day Coalition, which holds Columbia’s annual Earth Day Festival.

MSE is a grassroots undertaking and encourages active participation in our work. Anyone who would like to get involved is encouraged to contact us or call 573-875-0539.
